Learn to play guitar with an accomplished classical, jazz and rock guitarist with an absolute passion for teaching! Steve has been playing since 1993 and started teaching soon after, so he’s picked up a few secrets along the way. He uses a very encouraging teaching style and supports the student's musical interests and goals.
Steve can teach all ability levels, from beginners to advanced players. He creates individualized lesson plans for each student and makes it a fun experience. He can teach almost any style of music: classic to modern rock, heavy metal, blues, R&B, pop, classical, jazz, folk and music theory and will teach you how to practice to reach your goals.
He has studied with some great teachers, like renowned pedagogue Ray Chester from The Peabody Conservatory, Michael Smith in New York while attending the Brooklyn College Conservatory of Music, Robert Newman from Philadelphia while at Muhlenberg College, and Mark Elf out of New York City.
Steve’s been involved with the rock bands Mornin' Gloryz and St. Paul and has performed in Baltimore, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York City. He’s also played all around Baltimore with The Reisterstown Jazz Ensemble and currently performs locally as a solo act.
